Website privacy notice
This notice covers this website and emails you send us. The BritBuilder product has its own separate privacy notice.
Who we are
BRITBUILDER TECHNOLOGIES LTD is the data controller. Company number 17500150, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA (registered office only, not open to visitors). Contact: support@britbuilder.co.uk.
What we collect
- Pages you visit. Our web host, Cloudflare, Inc., processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver pages and protect the site. We keep no separate server logs.
- Error reports. If a page fails to load, your browser may send a short technical error report to Cloudflare (Network Error Logging), such as the page address, the error type and timings. Cloudflare states that it does not log your IP address from these reports.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply in our company mailbox, provided by Google (Google Workspace).
- Nothing else. This website has no forms, accounts, cookies, analytics, advertising or social-media tracking.
Why we use it
- Running and protecting the website: our legitimate interests in a secure website.
- Replying to you: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries or, if you ask about working with us, steps you request before a contract.
Your right to object
We rely on legitimate interests (see "Why we use it"). You have the right to object to this. To object, email support@britbuilder.co.uk and tell us why, based on your particular situation. We will stop using your information for that purpose unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or we need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We reply within one month.
Who we share it with
Cloudflare (hosting and network services) and Google (email) act for us under their data processing terms. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards in their data processing terms, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. To ask how these safeguards apply, or for a copy of or a link to the relevant terms, email support@britbuilder.co.uk.
How long we keep it
- Emails: we keep your message and our reply only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up. We keep them longer only where the law requires it, or where they relate to a contract or a legal claim.
- Request data: Cloudflare keeps it under its own retention policy. Cloudflare's documentation says detailed request analytics are kept for at least 31 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and, where the right applies, ask for it in a portable form. Some of these rights apply only in certain circumstances. Email support@britbuilder.co.uk. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
